THE PIANO

Casio's proprietary sound source, "AiR" (Acoustic and intelligent Resonator) provides the grand piano sounds in the PX-160. Casio meticulously recorded the sound of a 9-foot concert grand at 4 dynamic levels. The AiR engine delivers this sound with seamless dynamics for a remarkably expressive and powerful performance. Damper Resonance is simulated by AiR for uncanny realism when the damper pedal is used.

KEY ACTION

The PX-160 utilizes Casio's famous Tri-Sensor Scaled Hammer Action II keyboard. This action features new simulated Ebony and Ivory textured keys for an incredible feel and its three sensors capture the dynamics of a performance with unparalleled speed and accuracy. Casio's proprietary Hammer Response feature takes into consideration the speed at which different sized hammers move inside an acoustic grand piano relative to the velocity the keys are played. This timing nuance provides the ultimate key-to-sound experience that is unmatched by the standard actions of other brands.

GRAND SOUND SYSTEM

The chassis has been redesigned not only to provide a more elegant look but also to accommodate a new 8w x 8w speaker system, which delivers the PX-160's remarkable sounds with the richness that they deserve. This speaker system is open to the front but also ported to the back, which provides remarkable sound when the PX-160 is placed against a wall. This also allows it to easily be used in a classroom or other environment where the sound will be projected towards the audience. Far superior to brands whose speaker systems are aimed mostly downward.

NEW SOUNDS

The PX-160 also features newly developed string ensemble sounds. These rich stereo strings sound wonderful by themselves or layered with the PX-160's grand pianos, electric pianos, harpsichord and more. The electric pianos have also been updated providing some dynamic sounds derived from Casio's award winning PX-5S stage piano. The PX-160 provides split and layer capability allowing you to play bass in your left hand and have two layered tones in your right. Duet mode allows the keyboard to be split into two equal ranges, so the student and teacher can use the piano simultaneously. A two track recorder can even record and playback your practice and performances. The optional CS-67 stand puts the PX-160 at the proper height and the optional SP-33 pedal system provides the same 3 pedal functionality as a grand piano

GET CONNECTED

For quiet listening, the PX-160 now has two headphone outputs which are located on the front of the instrument and for those who are performing with other amplification, the PX-160 also features 1/4" left and right line outputs on the rear panel. The PX-160 continues Casio’s tradition of providing "class compliant" USB connectivity on Privia digital pianos. This allows the PX-160 to be used with Mac or Windows computers without the need for downloading drivers. Class Compliant USB MIDI also allows the PX-160 to be used as a controller with the Apple iPad simply with the use of Apple's Camera Connection Kit.

PRIVIA OVERVIEW

Privia digital pianos redefine the digital piano category with unprecedented sound quality and performance features in a stylish, elegant design that is supremely portable. Featuring superb grand piano sounds and a new Tri-Sensor 88 note scaled hammer action keyboard and some models weighing only 25 lbs., the Privia digital pianos are versatile enough for any home, studio, or stage.

REALISM, EXPRESSION

AND TOUCH

The grand piano sounds in Privia digital pianos deliver an unprecedented level of realism and expression. Four dynamic levels of stereo piano samples are integrated with Casio's proprietary Linear Morphing System, for a grand piano sound with seamless transitions and a superior dynamic range. These sounds are triggered by a scaled hammer action keyboard which provides the weight, feel and resistance of a piano without sacrificing the portability of the instrument.

SOUND SOURCE

To reproduce the sound of the finest acoustic grand pianos, the new Privia series features Casio’s proprietary AiR (Acoustic and intelligent Resonator) processor. Accessing more than three times the memory of the previous generation, the AiR processor utilizes grand piano samples recorded at four dynamics sampling to deliver grand piano sounds with long natural decays and remarkable expression. To further the grand piano experience, AiR adds realism by simulating the sound of the open strings when the dampers are raised by the pedal.

6 Speaker Sound System

Keep In Touch

Although the CGP-700 is loaded with impressive features, it's also incredibly easy to use. The centerpiece of the CGP-700 is a beautiful 5.3’’ color touchscreen. This high-resolution display is bright and clear, and makes full use of a huge color palette to keep you informed and in control. Navigating through tones and rhythms using touch and swipe gestures is a breeze. There's also a handy Grand Piano button, which lets you enjoy the CGP-700's brilliant grand piano sound instantly, and nearby Transpose buttons allow you to quickly shift to a different key.

6 Speaker Sound System

The CGP-700 has four speakers in the top panel, and two low-frequency speakers in its included stand, with a massive 40 watts of power. Whether you're enjoying the sonic experience of a 9-foot concert grand piano, playing along with the built-in rhythms, or listening to your MP3 player via the stereo aux input, this unique 3-way speaker system easily fills the room with rich, detailed sound.

At your fingertips is Casio's famous Tri-Sensor Scaled Hammer Action II keyboard, accurately recreating the touch and response of a concert grand piano with 127 times the resolution of traditional keyboards. Suitable for the most demanding pianist, this keyboard also enables beginning players to develop proper playing technique. Just like a grand piano, the keys have a heavier feel in the lower register, and a lighter feel up top. Even the surface of the keys feels natural, with the reproduced textures of both ebony and ivory.

Key Points

Having great keys means you need a truly great piano sound. The CGP-700's 9-foot concert grand piano sound is as impressive as it is thanks to a meticulous recording session with over two dozen microphones. The result is a dynamic and expressive concert grand piano that can be used in stereo or mono, and even includes damper resonance simulation. You'll find instant settings to adjust the piano for rock, jazz, classical, and other styles to suit your needs. The CGP-700 can also use the optional SP-33 pedal system, which provides soft, sostenuto, and damper pedals.

World-Class Piano

Sounds, Rhythms and More

The CGP-700 goes far beyond piano, with 550 different instrument tones. You'll find a variety of guitars, strings, basses, drums, synths, and more. There is also a powerful effects system with reverbs, delays, and other essential add-ons such as rotary speakers for organs and phasers for electric pianos. Quickly select one of the 200 ensemble Rhythms, which can accompany your playing with a full backing band which reacts to the chords that you play. You can also save combinations of your favorite tones, layers, splits, rhythms, accompaniment, and tempo for instant recall when performing.

Home, Stage, or Studio

The CGP-700 is a beautiful addition to any home, with its sleek design and matching wooden stand. When performing on the go, it can easily be removed from the stand. At only 26 lbs., the CGP-700 is one of the lightest-weight digital pianos available, and with its 1/4" outputs, you can easily connect to a mixer, amplifier, or PA system.

Keep Your Creations

When you are inspired, it's quick and easy to record your performance. The CGP-700 includes both MIDI and USB audio recorders. Transfer your recordings easily to a computer to share your music.

Student Friendly, Teacher Approved

The CGP-700 is ideal for any educational environment. Duet Mode splits the keyboard into two equal ranges, two people to play side by side on one instrument. An additional Classroom Mode splits the keyboard and configures the CGP-700 audio outputs to work with third party piano lab systems. The front panel also has two headphone jacks, perfect for a teacher and student.

Connectivity Without Confusion

The class-compliant USB port on the CGP-700 can connect to a PC, Mac, or other devices such as an iPad, with no special drivers needed. Just connect, and instantly control your favorite software

JUST A TOUCH

At the center of the PX-360 is the Color Touch Interface. It is a bright, clear 5.3" display that has a full color palette and responds immediately to your touch. With this intuitive panel, you can explore the PX-360 with ease, with all the right information at your fingertips. The elegant, simple interface uses universally recognizable icons that help you take full advantage of the PX-360's diverse sounds and features.

FEEL IS KEY

The PX-360 features Casio's famous Tri-Sensor Scaled Hammer Action II keyboard, accurately recreating the touch and response of a concert grand piano with 127 times the resolution of traditional keyboards. Even the most demanding pianists will be impressed by its authentic touch. As on a real concert grand piano, the keys feel heavier in the lower register, and lighter up top. The realistic ebony and ivory textures give your hands a positive grip, and complete the piano experience.

PURE PIANO

Matching the high quality of the keys is an immersive and authentic 9-foot concert grand piano sound powered by Casio's powerful AiR (Acoustic and Intelligent Resonator) Sound Source. It uses Linear Morphing technology to create smooth, dynamic transitions from the softest to loudest sounds, as well as Damper Resonance to accurately recreate the experience of the strings resonating against the piano's soundboard when the damper pedal is pressed. String Resonance accurately models the harmonic relationships between the vibrating strings, allowing the notes to interact with one another. Hammer Response allows control over the time between pressing the key and hearing the strings, and Key Off Simulation allows control of a note's decay by how quickly the key is released. Connect the optional SP-33 pedal system to utilize soft, sostenuto, and damper pedals.

COMPLETE ENSEMBLES

The PX-360 includes 550 Tones, covering a huge variety of musical instruments. You'll find expressive guitars, basses, strings, drums, and much more, polished with a powerful effect system. Accompany your playing with over 200 Rhythms, which provide multiple instruments that follow your playing, covering a wide spectrum of musical styles. In addition to exploring the built-in Tones and Rhythms, you can use the built-in Rhythm Editor to assemble 10 customized User Rhythms using various basslines, drum grooves, and other accompaniment parts. You can also create 50 of your own Music Presets, which encompass a Rhythm, Tones, effects, and chord progressions.

PRO PERFORMANCE FEATURES

The PX-360 is always ready to take the stage. It is highly transportable, weighing in at a mere 26 pounds. It fits neatly on nearly any keyboard stand for live performance. Its 1/4" outputs can connect to any amplification source, and thoughtful additions such as MIDI I/O and 1/4" inputs give you incredible convenience for multi-keyboard rigs.

SOUND AND STYLE

Place the PX-360 atop the optional CS-67P stand, and it becomes a beautiful addition to any home. Adding the optional SP-33 3-pedal unit will provide realistic soft, sostenuto, and damper pedals, fixed in place for an accurate piano experience. The built-in speaker system easily fills your home with beautiful sound. You can even connect your favorite music player to its audio input, creating the ultimate music dock!

YOUR MUSIC, YOUR WAY

When inspiration strikes, it's critical to be able to record quickly. The PX-360 lets you do just that, recording audio directly to a USB stick. Should you want to create a complete musical production, you can also use the built-in 16-track MIDI recorder. You'll see familiar recording controls on the Color Touch Interface, making the recording process smooth and simple.

LIFE LESSONS

The PX-360 has incredible music education potential, with features designed for lessons and music labs. Duet mode splits the keyboard into two equal ranges, allowing a teacher and student (or two students) to play side by side on a single instrument. Classroom mode adds the ability to send each side to an individual audio output, making it compatible with the most popular third party piano lab systems. Two front panel-mounted headphone jacks also make the PX-360 perfect for quiet practice or lessons.

DEVICE-FRIENDLY

The PX-360's class-compliant USB port connects to a PC, Mac, or iOS device with no driver installation. Easily control your favorite music software, without any extra setup

At A Glance

The PX-560 is the latest edition to Casio’s Privia Pro line. Featuring many of the sound design elements of the award winning PX-5S, the PX-560 adds new tones, user-programmable rhythms, built-in speakers, all centered around an amazing, easy-to-use 5.3” Color Touch Interface.

5.3" Color Touch Interface, Tri-Sensor 88-Note Scaled Hammer Action Keyboard, A.i.R. equipped

ABOUT THE KEYBOARD:

Introducing the Privia Pro PX-560 Digital Piano, a stage piano unlike any other. From the first look at its striking blue case, you’ll know it’s different. It boasts some of Casio’s most impressive sonic technology, in an easy-to-use instrument that sounds every bit as great as it looks. For the piano player who wants to go deeper, the PX-560 delivers a comprehensive set of features that will take your music further than ever.

TOUCH YOUR MUSIC

Front and center is Casio’s new Color Touch Interface. Its bright, 5.3” display is clear and easy to read, and the interface is inspiring yet simple. You’ll see familiar graphics to help you select instruments and functions, making exploring the PX-560 fun and easy. You’ll find yourself experimenting with new ideas, new sounds, and new ways of creating music.

THE KEYS TO SUCCESS

The PX-560 features Casio's renowned Tri-Sensor Scaled Hammer Action II keyboard, which accurately reproduces the touch and response of a concert grand piano, despite the PX-560’s light overall weight. As on a real concert grand, the keys are heavier in the lower register, and lighter up top. Your fingertips will immediately feel the ebony and ivory textured keys, which not only feel more realistic, but also give your hands a positive grip to keep your playing on point.

THE PIANO

In an instrument like the PX-560, the all-important piano sound must be as rewarding as the keys themselves. Casio’s Multi-Dimensional AiR (Acoustic and Intelligent Resonator) Sound Source delivers some of the best piano sounds you’ve ever heard. Its Linear Morphing technology creates smooth transitions between the softer and louder sounds. Damper Resonance gives you the deep feeling of the piano’s soundboard interacting with the strings. String Resonance models the harmonic relationships between vibrating strings. Hammer Response mimics the time between pressing the key and the hammer striking the strings. Key Off Simulation gives you control of a note’s decay by how quickly the key is released. And with a massive 256 notes of polyphony, you won’t have to worry about dropped notes, even while all of these incredible details are being recreated. These specifications are impressive, certainly, but what’s most important is that they combine to form the perfect and complete experience of playing a 9-foot concert grand piano.

A SOUND DESIGN FOR SOUND DESIGNERS

Under the hood, the PX-560 is not just a highly capable stage piano, but a full-fledged synthesizer. Unlike most other synths, going deep into sound design is as easy as touching the display. The PX-560 features Casio’s Hex Layer technology, borrowed from the flagship Privia Pro PX-5S. This means you can create massive splits and layers, with four zones and a total of 14 layers at once. What’s more, you can edit these Tones to sculpt them into something new and all your own. There are three realtime control knobs, as well as a modulation wheel, all of which can be controlling up to two assignable parameters at once. With great-sounding filters, responsive envelopes, and extensive modulation, the PX-560 can be a sonic playground as well as a performance instrument.

BRING THE BAND

Going beyond the traditional definition of a stage piano, the PX-560 includes 550 Tones, covering a huge variety of musical instruments and genres. There are dynamic and expressive guitars, basses, strings, drums, and much more, enhanced by powerful onboard DSP effects. The 220 onboard Rhythms allow multiple instruments to follow your playing, creating a backing band that plays in the style of your choice. In addition to exploring the built-in Rhythms, you can even assemble 30 customized User Rhythms by combining basslines, drum beats, and other elements. You can also create 100 of your own Music Presets, which encompass a Rhythm, Tones, effects, and built-in chord progressions.

TAKE THE STAGE

The PX-560 is designed to perform, and to make you sound your best. You’ll be delighted at how lightweight it is (just over 26 pounds), and how easily you can integrate it into your live setup. Its ¼” outputs and inputs give you great connectivity for PA systems and multi-keyboard rigs, and its dual pedal inputs can be configured to accept an expression pedal, damper pedal, or footswitches.

HOMEWARD BOUND

In addition to fitting just about any commercially-available keyboard stand, the PX-560 fits neatly in Casio’s optional CS-67P wooden stand, making a stylish musical statement in any home. Add the optional SP-33 3-pedal unit to experience realistic soft, sostenuto, and damper pedals, fixed in place for an accurate piano performance. The built-in speaker system has more than enough power to entertain at home. If you connect your favorite music player to its 1/8” stereo audio input, it even becomes a high-quality music dock.

A BUILT-IN STUDIO

When the muse speaks, you owe it to yourself to capture your idea. You don’t want to miss the chance to record your creation. The PX-560 gives you two ways to make sure your work is preserved. There is a 17-track MIDI recorder with editing features, and a USB audio recorder that creates an audio file directly onto a USB stick. You can create the sounds you want to play, record and edit MIDI songs with them, then add external instruments via the audio inputs, and capture the whole mix to share with the world.

TOOLS FOR SCHOOL

The PX-560 includes features that are especially beneficial for private lessons and music labs. Duet mode splits the keyboard into two equal pitch ranges, letting two people (i.e. teacher and student) play side by side on a single instrument. Classroom mode adds the ability to send each side to an individual audio output, making it compatible with the most popular third party piano lab systems. Two front panel-mounted headphone jacks also make the PX-560 great for lessons or practice.

PLAYS NICE WITH OTHERS

Like all Privias, the PX-560 has a class-compliant USB port which connects to a PC, Mac, or iOS device with no drivers needed. Easily control your favorite music software, without any extra setup.
